About

To help me keep track of interesting articles, exhibitions, books I’ve read and want to read and things I’ve written or want to write.

I’ve now finished MSc by Research in Anthropology of Health and Illness at the University of Edinburgh, and am currently working as a tutor in the same department. I am also a substance misuse worker in a voluntary sector organisation in Edinburgh. I have a professional background in social care, working mostly in psychiatry and addictions, and I completed my BA (Hons) in Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths, University of London in 2006.

I’m working on turning my dissertation/research proposal, with the working title, “Autonomous Healthcare and the Low-Intensity War in Chiapas”, into a pamphlet for publication.

The occasional post about dressmaking, food, or bike rides may well sneak in amongst my attempts to keep my anthropological eyes open.
